When 59-year-old Susan Early raced out her front door shrieking and covered in blood on a quiet suburban Indianapolis street, a kitchen chef’s knife still embedded into her head that her 31-year-old son used to stab her with nine times, neighbors rushed to her rescue her. That day, she had looked demonic evil in the eye in her son’s possession, compounded by his struggles with mental health and addiction. For 15 years, she silently fought a battle to get him professional help. As his mental state deteriorated, his vulnerability to the grip of a malevolent entity grew stronger. She survived.
