When I Saw God’s Hand is more than just a book—
— it’s a true story of faith, survival, and the unmistakable presence of God in life’s hardest moments. Through my journey, I’ve learned that even in tragedy, God’s grace can shine the brightest. This website is a place to share that hope — where you can learn about my story, find encouragement, discover helpful resources, and see how God continues to move in my life today.
My Story
I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and still call it home, even though I’ve lived just outside of Indianapolis for more than 30 years. My husband, George, and I have two children and four wonderful grandchildren who live nearby — and they are truly the joy of our lives.

My faith is at the heart of everything I do. I’m deeply grateful for God’s protection, guidance, and grace — especially after all that I’ve walked through. I still carry a few physical reminders of that fateful day: numbness in my left thigh from a severed nerve, and a slightly droopy right eyelid even after surgery to correct it. I also had hernia surgery in 2024 and will need another one soon.

But none of those things keep me from living life to the fullest. I treasure every moment with my grandchildren (who are my world), and now that George is retired, we love traveling and exploring new places together. Every day is a gift — and I see God’s hand in all of it.

I’m passionate about sharing my story and the message of God’s faithfulness with others.
