My son, Kyle was diagnosed with a mental disorder at the age of 15. At the time, doctors did not know if the diagnosis was correct because he was going through puberty and they did not know he his behavior was partly due to hormones. They told her that if the diagnosis was correct, as an adult, Kyle would more than likely be homeless, in and out of the judicial system and into drugs and alcohol. I couldn't believe what I was hearing! That will NEVER happen I thought. From that point on, I spent countless hours trying to get help for him over the years. Then came that fateful day in April of 2023.
